How to Navigate to a Page

The majority of content updates and creation of new content will be made in the Pages interface within Kentico. Once you get to the Pages section, all of the pages on the site are organized in a "content tree" structure.

How to Update a Page's SEO Metadata

Adding metadata to your pages benefits your SEO performance.

  1. Navigate to the Pages interface and select a page
  2. Click on the Properties tab
  3. Click on Metadata
  4. If enabled, uncheck the Inherit option next to fields you wish to update. Then type in the new metadata.
  5. Click on the Save button
  6. Click on Preview and Open in a new tab (Optional)
  7. Click on the Publish button

How to Update Social Share Data for a URL

You can configure what page title, description, and image displays for social media posts. For each page, you're able to define and optimize what preview data (page title, description, image) displays when a user shares a page URL on social media. 

  1. Navigate to the Pages interface and select a page
  2. Click on the Edit button or make sure it is selected
  3. Click on Content tab or make sure it is selected
  4. Scroll down and find the Social Share Fields (Overrides) section
  5. Update the Title, description, URL or image
  6. Click on the Save button
  7. Click on Preview and then on Open in a new tab (Optional)
  8. Click on the Publish button
